Certified Stockholm guides
Stockholm Tourist Service / Guide Booking works only with Certified Stockholm guides authorized by Stockholm Visitors Board (City of Stockholm). Certified guides undertake a one year guide education course and many have special knowledge in various fields such as history, architecture and much more. Certified guides undertake certification exams ensuring their guide and language skills are assessed on a regular basis.
Guide fees 2013
The basic fee in 2013 for a guide for a minimum 3 hours is SEK 2.500,- including a booking fee and inclusive of Swedish VAT. For additional hours, an hourly rate of SEK 700 will be charged. An additional 1 hour fee is charged if assignments start or end outside the city centre. A holiday fee is charged on public holidays as well as a fee when guides are required to work between 7 PM and 7 AM. Expenses for travel to/from airports by the Airport Coach will be charged.
Terms of Payment
Payment on invoice is required in advance at the latest two weeks prior to the assignment, unless otherwise agreed with Stockholm Tourist Service.
All financial transaction costs are to be paid by the client.
A cancellation fee is applicable, based on the same rate as the booking fee and is always charged regardless of when the cancellation is made. In the event that a cancellation is made within 72 hours prior to the start time of the assignment or there is a No Show, the whole value of booking will be charged.
Note, tours starting on a Monday must be cancelled no later than the previous Friday at 1200 noon.
Groups of 45 persons or more are considered very large when a microphone is not available, and particularly for walking tours, groups of around 30 are considered large. Please talk to us so that we can help find the very best solution for your specific group.
According to the Swedish statues-book, (SFS 1960:729) tape recording is not allowed without the guides express permission.
