Certified Stockholm Guides

Certified guides undertake a one year guide education course and many have special knowledge in various fields such as history, architecture and much more. Certified guides undertake certification exams ensuring their guide and language skills are assessed on a regular basis.

Guide Fees 2020

Our basic fee for a guide is SEK 2 950 (for up to 3 hours). For additional hours, an hourly rate of SEK 795 will be charged. An additional one hour fee is charged if assignments start or end outside the city center or for start or end at Arlanda or Bromma Airport. Expenses for the guide for travel to/from airport by the Airport Coach will be added. A holiday fee is charged on public holidays and an evening supplement is charged between 7 PM and 7 AM. If the group is bigger than 45 guests a supplement of 50% might be applicable.

Terms of payment

Payment on invoice is required in advance at the latest two weeks prior to the assignment, unless otherwise agreed with Stockholm Tourist Service.

All financial transaction costs are to be paid by the client.

Cancellations / Modifications

For a confirmed booking, cancellation fee of SEK 795 is applicable regardless of when the cancellation is made. In the event that a cancellation is made within 72 hours prior to the start time of the assignment or if there is a No Show, the whole value of the booking will be charged. Note, tours starting on a Monday must be cancelled no later than the previous Friday at 1200 noon.   For any changes to a confirmed booking we reserve the right to charge a modification fee of SEK 500.

Important notes

Groups of 45 persons or more are considered very large when a microphone is not available, and particularly for walking tours, groups of around 30 are considered large. Please talk to us so that we can help find the very best solution for your specific group.

According to the Swedish statues-book, (SFS 1960:729) tape recording is not allowed without the guides express permission.
